Dr. Zoë Harrold
Dr. Harrold received her Ph.D. in Geomicrobiology from the Earth and Space Sciences Department at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her experience includes research at the nexus of the bio-, hydro- and litho- spheres. Dr. Harrold is passionate about earth and environmental sciences and initiatives, research science, policy development, education, quantitative data-driven studies, and the outdoors.
Environmental and Community Initiatives (2018 – Present)
Environmental remediation, protection, and education efforts are interconnected initiatives that are foundational to inciting environmental stewardship. Dr. Harrold is committed to helping organizations animate their environmental goals by providing project scoping and data collection consulting as well as grant and report writing services. She is currently working with:
Truckee Bike Park (TBP) to fund park development and Next-Level programming.
Clean Up The Cayes (CUTC) to fund their 72-mile circumnavigational SCUBA cleanup of Lake Tahoe and develop a comprehensive data collection plan.
NV Woodchucks to support their community donation programs and grant writing needs.
Desert Research Institute (DRI), Reno NV on microplastic research method development and analysis in Lake Tahoe.
